 Willow Manor Players Ruth Kletzing Memorial Scholarship

 

The Willow Manor Players wishes to contribute to the continuing education of a worthy student who is seeking to further his or her education in the performing arts, dance or music.  To that end, the “Ruth Kletzing Memorial Scholarship” was established in 1974 with the intent to provide financial assistance to an area high school student planning to study in one of the above mentioned fields. This year our scholarship, between $500.00 and $1,000.00, will assist in providing some financial relief for a qualifying student.

 

Students applying for this scholarship must meet certain qualifications. The first qualification is that the student must attend one of the following local high schools that are included in this opportunity:

 

Abington Friends School

Abington High School

Archbishop Wood High School

Cheltenham High School

Hatboro-Horsham High School

Jenkintown High School

Methacton High School
Mount Saint Joseph Academy

North Penn High School

Springfield High School

Upper Dublin High School

Upper Moreland High School

William Tennent High School 

 

 

The second qualification is that the student:

 

1) Must be of good moral character. 

2) Must have been active in theatrical productions. 

3) Must have been accepted by a post-secondary college or professional school at which he or she will be majoring in performing arts, music or dance.
